What is WebMail Lite?
WebMail Lite is an open-source webmail client from Afterlogic Corporation, which has maintained it since 2002. It provides a browser front-end for an existing IMAP mail server, with contacts, mail filters and OpenPGP support. It is available under AGPL for the open-source community, or under a commercial licence on request.

WebMail Lite requirements
- PHP: PHP 7.4 or newer (per documentation)
- Database: MySQL 5.7.8+ (with mysqlnd) or MariaDB 10.2.7+
- An existing IMAP mail server (and SMTP for sending)
- Apache, Nginx or IIS web server
It needs PHP 7.4+ and a MySQL or MariaDB database with the mysqlnd driver, plus an IMAP server to connect to. These are available on a standard cPanel account.
