TestLink is an open-source, web-based test management system for quality assurance teams. It lets teams write test cases, group them into test plans, assign them to testers and record results, with requirement links and progress reports. It is developed by the TestLink team and hosted on GitHub.

TestLink requirements
- PHP: PHP 5.5 or higher for 1.9.20 (PHP 7.2 recommended, PHP 8.x supported on the fixed branch)
- Database: MySQL 5.7, MariaDB 10.1 or PostgreSQL 9.x (MS-SQL support partial)
- MySQL and MariaDB need log_bin_trust_function_creators enabled
- php.ini: max_input_vars above 1000 for large test plans; memory_limit 256M suggested when re-importing XML
- Apache 2.x web server listed
It runs on PHP and MySQL, but on MySQL or MariaDB it needs the log_bin_trust_function_creators setting, which may require server-level access. Ask support to confirm this before deploying on a shared account.
