What is RosarioSIS?
RosarioSIS is a free, open-source student information system, also called a school management system, maintained by François Jacquet. It covers student demographics, grades, scheduling, attendance, billing and discipline, mainly for K-12 schools but adaptable to colleges and training institutes. It is written in PHP and can integrate with Moodle.

RosarioSIS requirements
- PHP: Documented minimum PHP 5.5.9, tested up to PHP 8.3
- Database: PostgreSQL 9.2+ or MySQL/MariaDB
- PHP extensions: pgsql or mysqli, pdo, gettext, intl, mbstring, gd, curl, xml, zip
- Recommended PHP settings include memory_limit 512M and max_execution_time 240
- PDF generation needs the wkhtmltopdf utility installed on the server
- Apache 2.4 tested
RosarioSIS runs on PHP with MySQL or PostgreSQL. PDF generation depends on wkhtmltopdf, which requires server-level installation and may not be available on a shared cPanel account; the docs recommend a 512M PHP memory limit.
