What is PivotX?
PivotX is a PHP-based blogging and content management application that can keep its data in MySQL or in flat files. It supports several weblogs and authors, a template-based theme system and comment moderation. Its own README says active development ended in 2017 and that the project now only ships security releases.
Project status: The project README states that development officially ended in 2017 and that only security releases are provided, with no new features or non-security bug fixes. The GitHub repository is not archived; the last tagged release (a 3.0.0 release candidate) is from June 2023 and the last commit from February 2024. We list it because it is still available in the Softaculous installer; consider an actively maintained alternative for new projects.
