What is Chyrp?
Chyrp is a lightweight PHP blogging engine with a modular design. Its Feathers system defines post types, and modules and themes extend it. It runs on MySQL or SQLite. The version in the installer is from 2014, and development of the original project stopped around then, with a separate fork named Chyrp Lite continuing the idea.
Project status: The Softaculous listing shows version 2.5.2 dated November 20, 2014. The Chyrp Lite project history states that development of the original Chyrp ceased around 2014 and that Chyrp Lite is a separate fork; this page covers the original Chyrp only. Licence type could not be confirmed. We list it because it is still available in the Softaculous installer; consider an actively maintained alternative for new projects.

Chyrp requirements
- PHP: PHP 5.2.0 or higher (per repository README)
