What is iGalerie?
iGalerie is a free, open-source PHP application for creating photo and video galleries. It lets visitors comment and vote, supports password-protected albums, slideshows and member management, and reads EXIF, IPTC and XMP metadata. The official site describes it as very lightweight, at under 3.5 MB.

iGalerie requirements
- PHP: PHP 7.2 or higher; the official site says it is compatible with PHP 8.5
- Database: SQLite 3 (default), MySQL 5.5+ or PostgreSQL 9.5+
- PHP extensions: gd, mbstring and PDO (pdo_sqlite, pdo_mysql or pdo_pgsql)
- Write permission on the iGalerie directory
iGalerie needs only PHP with gd, mbstring and PDO, and can use SQLite so no separate database is required. It is described as very small in size, so typical shared accounts should suit it.
