What is YUI?
YUI, the Yahoo! User Interface library, is a free, open-source JavaScript and CSS library for building interactive web applications, originally created by Yahoo! engineers. Its maintainers state it is no longer actively maintained. On Softaculous it installs as library files in your account for developers who need it for existing sites.
Project status: The official repository (yui/yui3) states the project has not been maintained since August 2014 and that bug and security fixes are no longer supported. The Softaculous listing shows version 3.18.1, last updated October 2014. Not recommended for new projects. We list it because it is still available in the Softaculous installer; consider an actively maintained alternative for new projects.
