What is Dojo?
Dojo Toolkit is an open-source JavaScript toolkit offering language utilities, UI components and helpers such as Ajax, DOM manipulation, events, promises and data stores. It is governed by the OpenJS Foundation. It is a library, not a site you run: Softaculous places the files in a directory of your account. Newer work focuses on a separate Dojo framework.
Project status: The Softaculous listing shows Dojo Toolkit 1.17.3 released in August 2022, more than three years ago. The official Dojo site and GitHub repository say new development is focused on the newer, separate Dojo framework rather than Dojo Toolkit. We list it because it is still available in the Softaculous installer; consider an actively maintained alternative for new projects.
