What is FluxBB?
FluxBB is an open-source forum application written in PHP that aims to be fast, light and user friendly. It grew from the PunBB codebase and covers essential forum features without much extra complexity. It is GPL-2.0 licensed. Its latest stable release dates from 2018 and repository activity has slowed since 2021.
Project status: Latest stable release is 1.5.11, announced December 2018 on the official site and listed by Softaculous. Commits to the main GitHub branch stop in 2021. The GitHub releases page also shows a 1.4.x security backport, but this could not be confirmed against the official site. Publicly reported vulnerabilities exist for 1.5.11 in vulnerability databases. We list it because it is still available in the Softaculous installer; consider an actively maintained alternative for new projects.

FluxBB requirements
- PHP: PHP 5.6.4 or later (per the official repository README)
