What is SugarCRM?
SugarCRM is a customer relationship management product. The version Softaculous offers is the old open-source Community Edition, 6.5.x, which covers lead management, dashboards, workflow and web-to-lead forms. That edition reached end of life in 2017, and the vendor now sells only commercial editions, so it is a legacy option.
Project status: The SugarCRM Community Edition that Softaculous installs (version 6.5.26, released June 2017) reached end of life on 15 July 2017 with no further security patches. SugarCRM's own website now presents only commercial products. SuiteCRM, a fork of Sugar Community Edition, is the maintained alternative. We list it because it is still available in the Softaculous installer; consider an actively maintained alternative for new projects.
