CMS Made Simple is an open-source content management system written in PHP and MySQL, aimed at editors, designers and developers. Its design uses the Smarty template engine and an extensible module system. It is maintained by the CMS Made Simple Foundation, a Canadian non-profit, and is often used for small business websites.

- PHP: PHP 7.4 minimum, 8.3 recommended and maximum tested (2.x docs)
- Database: MySQL, with a user that has ALL PRIVILEGES on the database
- PHP extensions: json, tokenizer, xml, gd; cURL recommended
- PHAR support for the installation assistant
- Docs state ModSecurity must be disabled
- PHP memory limit at least 16M, 24M or more recommended
