MX Records (or mail exchange records) are special server settings that help to control the routing of your email. By default, your email is currently routed through our server. If you wish to route your mail to a different provider, outside your hosting account, you need to create a MX record.
1. Log into your cPanel (http://www.yourdomain.com:2082).
2. Click on the “Mail” link. This will take you to the “Mail Manager Main Menu” screen.
3. Click on the “Modify Mail Exchanger (MX Entry)”
4. Clink on “Change an MX Entry”. Here enter the server name to which you’d like to give control of your email.
Note: Once you’ve directed your mail to a server outside of our control, you will not be able to control your mail from this hosting account.
This means if you have multiple email addresses, forwarders, auto responders, and mailing lists, they will no longer be configurable through your Control Panel.
